What to Expect
We understand that hospital visits can be stressful. When you book a hospital notary visit with LDE Ink Notary Services, here's what happens:
1
Contact Us
Call, text or email us with the patient's name, hospital name, floor or room number and the type of document(s) to be notarized.
2
Verify Capacity
In California, a signer must be of sound mind and able to communicate their wishes in order for a document to be legally notarized. If there is any question about the patient's mental capacity, please consult with the attending physician or nursing staff before scheduling.
3
We Come to You
We arrive at the hospital, check in with staff and conduct the notarization bedside calmly, carefully and respectfully.
4
Document Verification
We verify the signer's identity (a valid ID is required), witness the signing and complete the notarization on the spot.
Important Notes
A valid government-issued photo ID is required for the patient (for an acceptable alternative, contact us to discuss options if the patient does not have ID available)
The patient must be coherent and able to sign or make their mark
Documents should not be pre-signed before the notary arrives
Family members or medical staff may be present but cannot sign on behalf of the patient unless proper legal authority has been established
